Paintings often start with a story for my inspiration. Sometimes it is just something that rhymes. But in this case, the story evolved while it was being painted and the closed window opened, the bird flew in, the cat jumped in the chair, the worm started marching towards the apple. We have a circle of life situation here…worm looking to eat the apple, bird the worm, and the cat…how will it end?
